When you head to the fitness center and want to maximize your treadmill training to get yourself in peak race-ready condition, there are a few workouts you can mix in to help you reach your goal of leading the pack at the finish line.
Rather than just slogging away at the same pace on the treadmill, vary your workout with speed interval training. You can also use tempo run training to find your ideal stride and lock in your pace, or go for more intense hill-climb sets.
