With several running events in Durham this fall, you can sign up for any one that suits you and make the most of the season. The following races are all occurring locally this fall:
- The Chick-Fil-A Race Series will be on October 4th in Downtown Durham. You have the option to participate in the 5K or the one-mile run, and there will be activities for children as well. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Police Athletic League will receive contributions from the proceeds of the run.
- On October 12th, the Ales For Rail Trails 5K will start at the Fullsteam Brewery. The course continues to Duke Park and Ellerby Creek Trail. Proceeds are given to the North Carolina Rail Trails.
- With a more unusual theme, the Bull City Race Fest will be on October 19th. The race will be a half-marathon, a five-mile run, or a one-mile run, and it will include a food truck rodeo. There will also be bands along the course and a beer garden.
- Either six or 11 miles long, the Eno River Run will occur on October 25th. The course takes you along the river and includes a bouldering section and a river crossing.
