Fall is upon us, and fall fun is easy to find throughout the Triangle. From a home at Trinity Commons, you will find it easy to enjoy the fairs, festivals and other events that are held this season in Research Triangle Park. Here are some of the best to put on your calendar as you plan for your fall fun.
Annual Dog Olympics at North Carolina State University
The College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State invites you to its 25th Annual Dog Olympics on September 10. Whether you bring your dog to enjoy the event or just come to see the dogs and learn more about your favorite breed, you will enjoy this family-friendly event. In addition to the athletic and non-athletic competitions, you can participate in a free microchip clinic hosted by the Raleigh Kennel Club or visit one of the 13 rescue groups at Olympic Village. Vendors and information booths will also be present, and food trucks will keep everyone full.
Apex Music Festival
On September 17, the Apex Music Festival brings bands from all over the United States, including many local favorites, to Salem Street in Apex for a day filled with music and food. Tickets are just $10 and provide access to all music venues. Food trucks will be scattered throughout the event to ensure everyone has something tasty to eat. Beer gardens and a main stage will open for adults at 3 p.m., and the event will run through midnight. As you stroll the grounds, you can also hear the work of street musicians. This is an adults-only event.
Central Carolina Fair
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex will light up with the Central Carolina Fair from September 9 through the 18th. Carnival rides, games and food will be a main event, but don’t forget the musical entertainment at the fair as well. Purchase an unlimited ride wristband to ensure you can enjoy the thrills all day long.
As you can see, fall is a busy time in the Triangle. You’ll find something to do every weekend not far from your Trinity Commons home. Make your plans now so you can enjoy each of these upcoming events.
